Nyrivin: She sighed and stretched her back a bit before moving on towards the castle 'Can't freak them all out' She thought, . "To bad it's night, I might've been able to get something when I get to the town..." She said to herself, noticing that Kasce was moving in the same direction as her up ahead. 'Well, isn't that nice. Looks like he's just going to be more annoyed.' She thought, stepping over a small stream.
Sylvia: Sylvia smiled at Ryker's comment about Kira. "I'm sure I'll get used to it." She replied, letting him finish his sentence afterwards. "Yeah, I know where the inn is. Not to far from here." She answered, without even thinking. She knew the town better than the back of her hand, mostly just because she had to in order to escape so well. Sadly, she hadn't been able to keep up her fighting skills since she felt it was easier to escape than to fight back. And that usually was the case with guards. "So, just another thing, what brings you here? Nobody really visits this place other than travelers, since this town is the closest to the portal over there." She said, pointing towards the woods. "You traveling?"

Kasce: Much to his dismay, the sound of steps behind him meant the girl was still following him. 'if she was going the same way, than she could have said so.' Kasce thought. At the towns entrance, Kasce began to run to get away from the girl. He had no intention on showing any stalker where he was headed. It was a slight disappointment that the majority of the streets were empty. At the first sign of people he grabbed his hat and jumped, making sure to place it properly on one of their heads, in the hopes that stalker may see the hat and consider it a cheep attempt at a disguise. Landing on one foot, Kasce turned around, and called to the man. "Hold onto that will you?" With that he spun round again and dived through a stall with no back. At times the town was like a maze, but he knew every path to his destination. He'd had to learn as he'd never been shown around like he was promised.

Ryker: Ryker had every intention on responding to Sylvia's question; however, the man who had suddenly jumped over him and placed a hat on his head stole his attention. He had barely caught a glimpse of him and heard the command to hold onto it before he had disappeared. He sighed softly and pulled the hat off. "Well, that was odd...."
Kira: She huffed a bit at Ryker and turned to Sylvia with a grin. "We're just traveling. We just came through the portal about a day or so ago, I think. I'm on a search for someone, but Ryker just tags along." She chuckled and grinned a bit cheekily. "I use him for the heavy lifting." Kira laughed a bit more and winked at Sylvia before turning and addressing Ryker. "So, did that guy really just smack a hat on your head and scram??" She watched him nod, and ran a hand through her hair. "Man, people are fucking weird..." With her mumbling done, she turned back to Sylvia and smiled. "Do you think you could show us where that inn is? I'm pretty tired."

Nyrivin: Upon entering the town, she saw Kasce run down a street to her left. "Bu-bye!" She called to him, mockingly. She watched him turn another corner putting him out of her sight. 'Maybe he really was scared...' She thought, moving on down the street. She looked around on the way, wondering if any of the shops were open this late at night.
Sylvia: "Alright, this way." She replied, walking passed Ryker and Kira while motioning them to follow. "I know this town pretty good, so feel free to ask about anything else here." She added. Sylvia shuffled a little bit to make her tail more comfortable, hoping it didn't look to awkward to the two behind her.

Kasce: He stopped in front of a door and moved to open it. The door remained fast and unmoving. "Really? Did she really forget that I was coming back?" Kasce asked the night air. With a sigh he moved away from the door. It would take too long to get to Port Town and he had no money at the moment. "Oh well it's not like I'd be able to sleep even if she had answered." he said walking down the street heading towards the outer section of the town. He remembered some broken down house's being out there. If he was wrong than there would at least be a tree to sleep in nearby.

Ryker: With a sigh, Ryker stuck his hands in his pockets and turned and followed Sylvia. "I appreciate you showing us the way. It's extremely helpful." He said with a nod. He noticed her strange little shuffle and made note of it for future reference if the need arose. She had given them really no reason to doubt her thus far, and he hoped she wouldn't. It had been a long time since he and Kira had found someone to trust other than each other. As they stepped out onto the street, he made sure to keep an eye out for any guards, as a precaution. He found that his caution was much needed as soon as Kira started to speak, her voice echoing slightly down the very empty road.
Kira: As she followed Sylvia with Ryker, she found the silence aggravating. So she decided to do what she did best. Talk. "So, Sylvia, what are you doing in this town? You live here, or are you just passing though?" She had a slight spring to her step, but there was something nagging at the back of her mind. Kira couldn't quite place the feeling, but she noted a slight change in the air, not because of Sylvia, or Ryker. It was something a bit darker.

Nyrivin: Nyrivin liked the towns like this. Quiet, gloomy, not really anyone around. Though she imagined it'd be different during the day. 'I wonder if there is a place where its dark all the time...' She thought, passing what looked like a store. She saw the man she had been following earlier walking down the street to her left. "I'm starting to think he just wants to be around me..." She muttered to herself, continuing down the street.
Sylvia: "No problem Ryker, not like I could be doing much else any how." She called back to Ryker. Kira's question made really wish she was passing through, since she didn't like anyone in this town that she had met. No one was very friendly here. But sadly she didn't know any other place to go, and living in the wild would be a bit more hard than stealing things. Plus her hunting skills were a bit rusty. "I live here... Well, "live" is a bit of an over statement, but I get by." She replied to Kira. "I wish I could leave, but I wouldn't know where to go. So I just stay here. I think my favorite part of the day is when I go out into the woods so I don't have to deal with any of the jerks here." She added, remembering how nice it felt to have a bath in the lake not to far from the edge of the forest.

Kira: "Ah hah, so this IS full of assholes. I knew it would be." She said with a slight grin. She glanced at Sylvia and shrugged a bit. "You could always go to Port Town, or someplace. It's bound to be better than here, especially if you're unhappy." A thoughtful look crossed her face and she grins. She jumped in front of Sylvia and was walking backwards while talking to her. "You could come with us! It'd be great to have someone along who can make a conversation last more than five minutes." Kira shot Ryker a pointed look, obviously talking about him.
Ryker: Ryker shrugged. "You know me. There's not much to talk about, so why talk at all?" He looked up as a building came into view. It was an ok looking place. Not too fancy, but nice enough there wouldn't be bugs in the mattresses. "I think that's the inn." As they neared it, he glanced at Sylvia. "You know, I agree with Kira. Maybe you should come with us. It'd be nice not being the only one who she can bug." Kira promptly gave him the finger for the second time that night.

Kasce: Each turn took Kasce further away form the center of the town. The streets turned into alleys which in turn led outskirts of town. Normally the only reason for Kasce to be in this part of town was if he was heading to one of the northern portals, so there had never been a need to stop and examine the house's. Now that he was actually looking for a place to sleep for the night he examined every single broken down and wrecked house. Many were missing windows or doors. A few were boarded up except for one spot where the boards had been broken, and ever single building had faded coloring with the paint starting to peel. To be honest none of the building were appealing in any sense of the word. After walking and examining the house's for a bit he finally found one that was at least possible to sleep in. Part of the house's roof was caving in and the maroon paint was faded to the point of having almost no resemblance to the color it once was. Climbing in through one of the broken windows, Kasce was surprised to find that it didn't smell as bad as he had expected. Sure the smell of dust and some mold lingered, but it wasn't unbearable, nor overpowering. He sat down in the darkest corner, his backpack next to him and sat silently looking at the sky through one of the windows.

Sylvia: She thought about the suggestion made by both Kira and Ryker. It almost seemed like a bad idea, but after she thought about it, she realized that this could be a way to actually live her life happily. "That sounds like a good idea actually... I wouldn't mind the company, seeing as how I haven't had a conversation with anyone like this in years." She replied, her mind still wandering through all the possibilities of traveling with Kira and Ryker. It could be really fun, and exciting. "If I were to go, I'd have to get some stuff from my house... Well, more like a pile of moldy wood. But you get the point." She added, now in love with the idea of leaving this cesspool of a town. Just a minute later, they arrived at the inn. "Well, here we are. Oh, but uh, before you go in, what kinds of places would we end up seeing? Like, after you find the person you're looking for. I'm just curious..." She said, leaning against the wall of the inn, next to the door.

Kira: Kira chuckled and shook her head at Sylvia's question. "The person I'm looking for... Well, I'm pretty certain she doesn't want to be found. She was my best friend, but a while back, she almost killed me." Her face dropped and a sad look entered her eyes. "She spared me though, for a reason I'm unsure of. She never was merciful. To tell you the truth, I can't tell you why I'm looking for her. She'll probably try to kill me again." She laughed a bit and shook her head. "But I do know, I'll go anywhere for her. If it's one thing I won't let happen to her, it's to let her fall too deep into that dark heart of hers." With a grin, she looked over at Sylvia and ruffled her hair a bit. "So you can count on seeing lots of places, because she never stays in one place for too long. Have you ever been to Earth??"

Sylvia: Sylvia shook her head. "No, I haven't. I know where the portal is though. But I actually don't know much about Earth at all." She answered, before hearing footsteps just down the road behind her. She glanced over her shoulder and spotted a lone woman. She looked rather out of place in the town, though she seemed to blend into the dark with the black cloths she was wearing. Sylvia thought nothing of it and turned back to Kira.
Nyrivin: She could hear talking up ahead, though it was faint at the distance and she couldn't quite make out what was said. She didn't bother looking up from the ground until she was closer. She looked up at about a couple meters away and as soon as she did her eyes widened. 'Kira?!' She thought, wondering why she was here. Her mind raced, but her feet did not slow. She went through different thoughts of avoiding her or confronting her, all of which ended up with no possible reason to do that. She wanted to think that killing her would've been for the best, but at the same time she felt she couldn't. She cursed herself for possibly growing "attached" to someone. 'But it's been so long... I shouldn't care for her at all.' She thought, still wondering why she wasn't able to stop moving towards the trio. "I honestly don't know what to say, Kira." Nyrivin said calmly, with her smooth yet always chilling voice. Nyrivin was now standing next to Sylvia, facing Ryker and Kira. Sylvia looked at Nyrivin, a little confused looking.

Kira: At the sound of such a familiar voice, Kira froze, not wanting to believe her own ears. Slowly, she turned, already realizing that if Nyrivin had wanted her dead, she would be already. Kira couldn't help the small smile that formed on her lips. "It's been a long time, Nyrivin..." She chuckled a bit, and shook her head. "I'd love to hug you, but you never were one for things like that. So I guess I'll settle for asking how you've been." She was right in front of her. Her best friend, rival, the one who almost killed her... Nyrivin was close enough to see the different shades of purple her eyes held. Kira couldn't even express how ecstatic she was if she had tried. She was practically on cloud 9.
Ryker: Ryker watched the exchange with slight surprise. He wasn't entirely sure who the person was that Kira had been looking for, but apparently it was this girl. He glanced at Sylvia and noticed her wariness, and he found that he couldn't blame her. All he knew about this girl was what Kira had told him. And even to that extent, it was only that she was a tier and fairly dangerous. The situation was quite tense in his eyes. However, he had never seen Kira's eye light up quite as much as they had when she'd first heard the girls voice. A soft smile crept over his face despite the tension he felt tighten his muscles. He never was one to be caught off guard.

Sylvia: Sylvia smiled when she looked over at Kira, she looked absolutely ecstatic. She exchanged glances with Ryker and could tell that Kira was waiting for a long, long time to find this "Nyrivin". Funny how she showed up now, in some small town at night..
Nyrivin: "Have you been following me?" She asked, completely ignoring the pleasantries offered by Kira. She was surprised to see her, but it wasn't a good surprise. Nyrivin was trying to cut off all ties to her past, though she did kind of give Kira a reason to try and find Nyrivin to ask her why she had let Kira live. Even though all that made sense to Nyrivin, she didn't show it. She wore an emotionless face. Those few that did know Nyrivin knew that if she used that face, it'd be pointless to guess what she was thinking.

Kira: She raised an eyebrow slightly, but she wasn't at all surprised that Nyrivin had ignored her. Kira found her smile change to a smirk. "But of course. After all, you're my best friend. I worry about you." Out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at Ryker and gestured towards Sylvia. It was the silent warning of, "Be ready to move is things go to hell." She watched as Nyrivin hid her expressions and found herself wanting to sigh. She had always done that, but it appeared she'd gotten better at it. Kira found herself insanely irritated by that fact.
Ryker: His eyes narrowed as he caught Kira's gesture. He scooted a bit closer to Sylvia, ready to get them both of them out of there is things turned sour. He was hoping the tension was only his paranoia, but apparently, it wasn't.

Nyrivin: "Best friend?" She asked, finding it really odd that even though she killed a lot of the people Kira knew and almost killed Kira herself yet Kira still considered her a best friend. Nyrivin searched for words, preferably harsh words, to throw at Kira. "Kira, our past together was already finished when I left that one day. When we met again in that group, you were nothing to me. Just another face. Why can't you accept that and move on? Why am I so important to you?" She asked, trying to quell her emotions before they showed. She really didn't understand why Kira still thought of her as a friend. Nyrivin knew she herself wanted to just screw everything and have things go back to the way they used to be. But she was a different person know, and it was already hard to show emotions. The need to be Kira's friend again had shrunk to something more insignificant over Nyrivin's time alone, against the world.
Sylvia: She leaned over to Ryker and whispered something to him. "I'm gonna go back to my house for he night, I need to do some things. Tell Kira I'll meet you two here again tomorrow early in the morning." After she finished that sentence she shuffled away from the girls and walked at a brisk pace down the night street. After about fifteen minutes, she had gotten to her house. Though, to her dismay, she picked up an unfamiliar scent coming from her house. 'Great,' She thought, 'An unwanted guest.'. She put her skills to use and silently entered a window that led to what she thought to be the houses former bed room. She crept quietly out of to the room's doorway and looked out into the hallway. 'Must be in the living room...' She thought, stealthily making her way to the living room's entrance. She then carefully peered into the room and immediately frowned when she saw the figure sitting next to a window. She ran through a few thoughts on how to handle him. She decided that instead of trying to attack him, she should just talk to him. Hopefully he wasn't like most others in this town. She calmly walked into the room, and stood a few feet away from the man. "Hello? You uh, you friendly?" She asked, hoping he was.

Kira: Kira found her eyes softening a bit, and her small smile returned. She could see the confusion, no matter how much Nyrivin tried to hide it. "Nyrivin, you remember the first time we met, right? When we were kids? You saved me. I told you that day, that I'd follow you anywhere. It's never really mattered to me if you killed me." She said with a shrug. "Though, I was a bit curious as to why you didn't. But I'm not anymore. It doesn't matter what you do, Nyrivin, because I'm always going to be loyal to you. I'll always view you as a friend, no matter how much you change." Kira found herself smiling a bit brighter, though she doubted that Nyrivin wanted to see that. She simply couldn't help it.
Ryker: He watched as Sylvia left, and turned his attention back to the girls. He could no longer tell what direction this situation was going to take. And that worried him.

Nyrivin: The way Kira never stopped smiling the entire time frustrated her. "Well, what do you intend to do, now that you've found me again?" She asked, trying to make sense of what Kira said. She could understand Kira's reasoning, but she didn't like it. Every time she ran it through her head she just found another reason to be Kira's friend again.

Kasce: Slowly he looked up to the face of the one who'd spoken. "Depends on your intentions." Kasce responded tiredly. "If you wish ill will upon me in any way, than I have no real inclination to be friendly. However if this is your house and you let me stay here for the night, I will return the favor and make sure you get food and money to get out of here." What he said wasn't a lie. He was going to get money for the errand, as always and at the very least it would be enough to stay in an inn for a few weeks. Long enough to get a job at least. He grabbed onto the back pack and stood up. There didn't seem to be a weight difference in the bag so, nothing of any real importance was stolen. While waiting for a response, Kasce looked at the new girl before him. Clothes that seemed to be more than just second hand, and a stance that seemed to come form discomfort. She didn't seem to be carrying any weapons of any sort, unless it was stored under the misshapen hat the girl was wearing. Though that didn't seem to be too likely.

Sylvia: "Well, I guess that means we're good than. Sure, you can stay the night. Just don't try anything while I'm sleeping." She said, the last part was both a joke and a serious statement at the same time. She walked over and sat down at the opposite wall that the man was sitting at. "So, you got a name, guy?" She asked, wondering if he'd figured out about the secret compartment right underneath him. It was were she kept a few things of importance to her, so she hoped he didn't.

Kasce: "Kasce. As for trying anything, if I planned on stealing anything, I would have done so already. Besides I've never had the desire to steal. So, if you don't mind me asking, What's your name and why haven't you tried leaving this place?" He replied., enjoying the slight breeze that was let in by the broken windows. It would be a while still before he fell asleep again so it made sense to at least talk to pass the time.

"I've always loved the view from up here." she said, referring to the sunset that had since passed. "Yeah." Calvarous said calmly in agreement. "It's too bad we will have to leave here and see to a meeting." he said. Tarune sighed, she hated that there was never any real alone time with Calvarous, but she was greatful that they got one of the biggest living spaces in the castle because of their rank and Calvarous's friendship with Valsh. Calvarous stood and helped Tarune up.

Kira: Kira got a slight thoughtful look, and then finally shrugged. "You know me Nyrivin. I never think that far ahead." She chuckled a little and scratched the back of her neck. "I realize you're not the same girl I was friends with all those years ago, and I can tell you don't particularly like seeing me now. So, I suppose I'll leave the decision of what happens next to you. Cause, while I'm a dreamer, I'm not delusional, and I know things will never be the same like they were before." Her smile formed into a grin and she stuck her hands in her pockets. "But I think I'd like to get to know this new you. She seems interesting." Kira could tell she was putting Nyrivin out of her comfort zone, and she was feeling a bit bad for it. After all, it hadn't been her intention to stress her friend out.

Nyrivin: She sighed, and folded her arms. "Alright, but don't expect to get to close to me. We can still be acquaintances or something..." She replied, her lips curving into a small smile. In the end, Nyrivin found no real reason to hold anything against Kira. She just didn't like the idea of getting close to anyone. After the second time she met her, she found that she really couldn't trust anyone. "One thing I need to clear up. Were you ever a part of what they were planning to do to me? Back when I saw you last, I mean." She asked, already figuring that Kira would never do anything like that. But she felt that she needed to ask that, since that was the reason she counted Kira as a person to attack. The only reason she spared Kira was because they grew close over the time they were together again.
Sylvia: "My name's Sylvia. Nice to meet you Kasce." She replied, before continuing on. "Well, I find that life here would be easier than in the wild, and I don't have any clue on where any other good place to live is. I wouldn't want to make a pointless, and hard trip just to get to another town full of jerks. But lucky me, I get to leave tomorrow, since I made a couple of nice friends to take me away from this terrible place. Though I think we'll be staying a bit, they've been traveling for a long time from the sound of it." She finished. "Well, that was a mouth full." Sylvia added, now smiling. She played with a loose stand of hair as she looked across the room Kasce. He looked nice, and he WAS nice. That was something she rarely found in this town, thought lately that's the only type of people that Sylvia has run into.

Kira: Kira couldn't help the smile that crept up to her face and she felt her cheeks redden a bit. "I'm ok with acquaintances." Nyrivin's next question startled her a bit, but she could understand that need to know. "Of course not. You remember when you found me? How I was already torn up and bloody?" Her eyes narrowed a bit as she stared at nothing. "I tried to stop them, tried to make them see reason... They wouldn't have that, of course. And back then, I wasn't at the point where I could fight someone who I had once called a comrade, so they beat the fuck out of me, basically." Kira shrugged. "They figured you'd kill me anyway."
