Kasce & Lyra: "Than We go our separate ways at Port Town." Kasce said, picking up his pace slightly. The tree line was only a couple meters ahead now. The trek wouldn't take to long, but it would be a while still. "Don't kid yourself Kasce, you live less than a mile from Port Town." Lyra said in response to Kasce walking a bit faster.

Sylvia: She was a little disappointed that Kasce wouldn't be joining them, but that's how things were going to go it seemed. "Okay..." She said, her thoughts now elsewhere again.

Ryker glanced at Kasce. "Are you going though the portal, or are you just not gonna stick around Port Town??" He'd found himself hoping that maybe they'd all stick together, mostly for his personal sanity. Without Kasce and Lyra around, he'd be stuck with Kira, Harper, and Sylvia. While he viewed them all as worthy comrades, they were women, and he really didn't want to be the only guy. It made him feel a bit... Awkward. Kira glanced at him, as if reading his mind, and he grinned slightly. She rolled her eyes, and shook her head.

Kasce: "Depends. If the portal is open for use than yes I am going through. Though as Lyra said I live maybe a mile or two away from the portal on Earth. If it isn't open for use than I'm staying in Port Town for a while." Kasce replied. He really did want to go home, but wanted to make sure that Port Town was ready for anything that was going to be thrown at it.

Ryker nodded. "That makes sense. Living that close to the portal, I'd want to go home as well." He sighed, and Harper looked over at him. She gave him a questioning look before turning to Sylvia. "You alright?? You've been really quiet." Kira tuned in and nodded. "I agree with Harper. You've been quiet since we got out here." A worried look crossed her face as she stared at her new friend.

Sylvia: "Oh, yeah." She replied, looking over at Harper and Kira. "Just have my mind of things is all." She added, going back to being quiet.

Kira bit her lip as she studied Sylvia. Something was obviously bothering her, but it seemed she didn't want to talk about it. Kira glanced at Harper, who met her gaze, and Harper simply shrugged. Kira sighed. She hoped whatever was bothering Sylvia wouldn't become a problem. Their little rag tag band of misfits didn't need another catastrophe.

(Chance!) Kasce & Lyra: Entering the tree line, Lyra stretched slightly. The overhanging trees cast an intricate pattern on the ground. The shade felt better than she had thought it would. With a glance backwards, she managed to catch sight of the explosion before the sound hit her. Kasce stumbled, managing to catch himself on a tree before snapping around to see the cloud of dust and smoke arrive. Quickly he adjusted his hat, so it wouldn't fly off as well as protect his eyes slightly, and pulled his shirt over his nose. "Everyone alright?" he called, a slight ringing in his ears. (The bomb shammy had placed. It went off. The bomb should be there, unless it was erased.)

Sylvia: Se yelped and nearly fell forward as the force of the shock wave arrived. She raised an arm and placed it in front of her eyes, drying to block out the dust. She tried to speak, but when she opened her mouth nothing came out. All she could do was stare in the direction of Old Town, knowing that the explosion must have happened there. Once again, sadness swept in when she thought of the poor people who didn't leave like they had.

Harper yelled out a curse as she hit the ground and started to tumble, but Ryker grabbed her and steadied her while Kira put up a little wall of air around them, blocking as much of the dirt as possible. "Yeah, we're ok." She replied to Kasce. Harper scoffed as she dusted herself off. She looked at Ryker. "Thanks for that save." Ryker shrugged. "Shit happens. You don't react fast enough, things may end badly." Harper grinned slightly and nodded as Ryker looked over at Lyra. A look of concern flickered through his eyes for a moment before he fought it down. "Are you alright?"

Lyra & Kasce: "Y-yeah." Lyra coughed back in reply. She stood in shock at the cloud of dust and smoke that covered the town that used to be her home. There was a chance that the town could have been rebuilt. Lyra had even hoped that some of her collection would have survived as well. "Lets go." Kasce said picking himself up and silently moving on ahead, further into the forest without waiting for a response.

Sylvia: 'God, I can't take much more of this...' She thought, staring back at where Old Town was. It was hard to see, with all the dust in the air. She hesitantly followed Kasce, glancing quickly back at where they had come from. She was almost in a state of shock and kept to herself. She felt sad for all the people who died today, and wondered if it had happened to other towns. She stared at the ground, trying not to let the thoughts get to her as they moved on.

Kira frowned a bit, not really liking the way things were going. She steadied Harper and smiled slightly. "You alright there Harper?" Harper nodded. "Oh yeah. Just surprised me, honestly. I wasn't expecting that..." Kira nodded and looked over at Sylvia. She frowned and placed a hand on her shoulder as they walked. "Sylvia, are you alright? You look really shaken." Concern laced her words, and Ryker looked over and observed as they walked.

Sylvia: She held on arm loosely with the other as they moved on, still looking at the ground. "Mmhmm..." She nodded, thankful for Kira's comfort but she was still a little shell shocked.

Kira bit her lip a bit, but nodded. "If you say so, Sylvia..." She moved away and fell into pace with Harper. She was still worried, but she wasn't going to press the matter.

Kasce: He glanced back at the group following him. Everyone seemed shaken, with right to be. Yet the only one who didn't seem to be paying attention. He fell into step with her. "Not really a safe idea to be walking while looking at the ground."

Sylvia: She blinked and glanced up at Kasce. "Oh... I can..." She started, before letting out a sigh. "Yeah, guess your right." She said, looking up at Kasce. His voice felt comforting to her, so she was happy he decided to come by. "I'm just a little... Well, I've never seen a bomb go off... Or... Whatever that was, anyway." She mumbled.

Kasce: "Well if it helps. I'm in the same boat. Don't know if the same can be said for those two though." He responded motioning towards Ryker and Kira. He didn't really like the situation that had presented its self to him. He'd never been comfortable being around others, especially when he knew nothing about him. Usually Kasce would just abandon the whole group traveling thing, but with Lyra here, that wasn't a good option. "So what do you know about them?"

Sylvia: She shrugged and glanced over at Kira and Ryker. "Not much. They showed up out of no where and saved from that guy. You know that though. Um, not much other than their nice people. I trust them. Don't know if it means anything to you but I'm good with trusting people. I usually know if someones intentions are bad." She said, her voice still a bit shaken sounding.

Kasce: "Well that has got to be handy at times, being able to tell if someone plans to do something wrong. Though I think that would be wasted on me." Kasce responded, trying o keep the conversation going. It seemed to be doing at least something to help distract Sylvia from what had happened. Maybe others of the group would try talking to distract themselves.

Kira glanced over at Kasce and Sylvia as they spoke, and smiled to herself. 'Looks like Sylvia's managed to make a few more friends....' With a soft chuckle, she turned her attention to Harper. "So, Harper. What are you gonna do once we reach Port Town?" Harper sighed and shrugged. "To be honest, I don't have a damn clue. I'll probably decide once we get there. After all, I wouldn't want to hinder you guys... But I don't really know anything about Port Town either. I've never been." Kira grinned. "Don't worry, you won't hinder us. And you've never been to Port Town?? Oh man! I love that place! There's always a little trouble to get into if you look hard enough." Harper laughed a bit. "Well, that's good to know."

Sylvia: "Yeah, it has been handy..." She nodded, a little distraught that Kasce was right. She couldn't exactly tell anything about him other than that he was at least kind. 'Oh well, I'm sure he's a good guy.' She thought. He ability to tell what someone wished to do or at least if they had bad intentions had always helped her in the past, but right now she noticed she couldn't exactly tell. She shook her head slightly and tried to look at least semi-happy. "So, where do you plan to go after we get to Port Town?" She asked, hoping he'd stay with the group.

Kasce: "well what I do depends on what's happening with the Portal at Port Town. If I'm not allowed to go through, than I think I'll stick with you and the others. If I can go through, than I'm heading home." Kasce responded. he couldn't but wonder just what was distracting Sylvia if she didn't hear him answer the question earlier.

Sylvia: "Don't mean to sound rude but I almost hope that you-" Sylvia gasped quietly as a headache made itself known in her head. She didn't know whether it was something random or an effect from the explosion but it hurt to much for her to care. Sylvia managed to come to the conclusion that this was no normal headache, or at least nothing she had ever felt before. She knelt down, clutching her forehead area with both hands, letting out a groan of pain.

Kasce: "Whoa." Kasce exclaimed as Sylvia fell to her knees. He stopped and knelt down beside her. "I know your tired and the shock form the bomb hasn't fully worn off but come on we need to..." He started placing one arm over her shoulder, ready to help her stand up, when he noticed that she was clutching the forehead area of the face section that is her head. "Sylvia what's wrong?"
